This event celebrates community and connection. FOX 5 Good Day New York Weather Anchor Mike Woods and Traffic Anchor Ines Rosales will host the program and kick off the Walk.

When: Sunday, May 19, 10AM-2PM

Where: The Seaport, Pier 17

Why: In celebration of Mental Health Awareness Month, NAMIWalks NYC + Mental Health Street Fest creates community and breaks stigma around mental illness. 1 in 5 New Yorkers are affected by mental illness and the other 4 are their family and friends. We are ALL impacted, and there are free programs, resources, and community available.

As part of this fundraising campaign, NAMI-NYC aims to raise more than $1 million for its free mental health programs, including classes, 40 support and social groups, family mentoring program, Helpline in 180 languages, educational presentations, and much more. NAMI-NYC is the only direct provider of family support services for people caring for a loved one with mental illness.
