Family-to-Family Grads (Virtual)
This group is open to graduates of our Family-to-Family class. Click here to learn more about it and how to get on the waitlist! Graduates will receive login information via email.
Movies and TV shape our perceptions and expectations of both others and ourselves. Seeing ourselves reflected on screen can be powerfully validating; when our experiences are ridiculed, distorted, or simply don’t appear at all, it can be devastating. Join us for a series of conversations about media depictions of mental illness and how those depictions affect real people trying to understand their own stories. Our second conversation centers on depictions of depression and mania.
We will watch selected short video clips, hear reactions from panelists who live with the diagnoses being depicted, and hear from you about what makes a story resonate with you.
Wednesday, December 15, from 1:30 to 2:30pm ET, via Zoom
