Myrna Chao - National Alliance on Mental Illness of New York City , Inc.

Myrna Chao is retired from Willis Towers Watson and has over 40 years of experience in finance and human resources. She chaired a global Inclusion & Diversity council, where she implemented leadership development programs that significantly increased the representation of traditionally under-represented groups in leadership roles. During her tenure as the global chair of Inclusion and Diversity, Myrna’s company created “Workability,” a support group aimed at de-stigmatizing mental illness and training workplace champions to support affected employees and their managers. Myrna has also managed P&L responsibilities for hundreds of millions in annual revenues, impacting thousands of employees. Myrna holds Board and advisory leadership roles focused on mental health and social justice at Greenwich House, Hamilton Madison House, New York Foundation of the Arts, and Foundation for Art and Healing. Myrna has family members and friends who are neurodivergent, which drives her passion for NAMI-NYC’s work and mental health advocacy.
