Join CCIT-NYC and NAMI-NYC as we rally for community-based mental healthcare and a true peer-led, nonpolice response to mental health crisis calls. We have long advocated for centering peers with lived experience in crisis response. We also need to know more about the B-HEARD program before rolling out citywide.
We want to know:
- Is B-HEARD properly staffed to meet the need?
How are 911 calls determined to be B-HEARD eligible?
Are New Yorkers connected to same-day mental health services in their community?
