Caroline Bjorkman

I am a psychiatrist working in community psychiatry in Manhattan. I found my passion for working in mental health in medical school which continued to grow during my residency training at Mount Sinai Morningside and West. As a psychiatrist, I have first hand experience working with patients with mental illness. Mental health is unfortunately still an underserved field which continues to hold much stigma. NAMI-NYC has been an important resource I use with my patients and their families to help them understand and live with their diagnosis. I am excited to run my second NYC marathon in support of NAMI-NYC as well as to help bring awareness and end the stigma of mental illness.
