Guided by lived experience and evidence-based practices, the National Alliance on Mental Illness of New York City, Inc. (NAMI-NYC) helps families and individuals affected by mental illness build better lives through education, support, and advocacy.
We’re Here For You
1 in 5 live with mental health challenges, and The Other 4™ are family and friends. We are ALL impacted by mental illness.
Your Support Matters
Dealing with mental illness is not easy – not for the person with the illness, nor for the people in their life.
Your generous gift makes hope possible!
Resource of the Month:
Minority Mental Health Month
We work very hard every day to make sure our services are accessible to as many people as possible. Anyone can experience the challenges of mental illness, regardless of their background. However, background and identity can make access to mental health treatment much more difficult. In 2008, July was established as Bebe Moore Campbell National Minority Mental Health Awareness Month to address this disparity. Learn more about our programs and events to celebrate this month below.
