Hours: 14-21 hours per week, 2-3 days per week.

POSITION DESCRIPTION:
NAMI-NYC seeks a Video Production Intern who will assist and work closely with our Video Producer to create culturally responsive, multilingual, and accessible videos and content elevating NAMI-NYC’s programs, events, outreach, partnerships, as well as for anti-stigma and advocacy campaigns. The person in this role will assist during all the stages of production, including but not limited to preparing documents before the shoot, setting up the camera, helping with lighting and recording audio, footage management, editing, and distribution.

- Assist our Video Producer during all phases of production.
- Make sure all necessary paperwork gets completed prior to shoots.
- Ensure that all equipment is charged and readily available for a successful shoot.
- Assist on set with Sound and Lighting as needed.
- Set up and break down recording equipment before and after use.
- Store and organize footage.
- Assist in the editing process.
- Reach out to TV networks, community partners and vendors for distribution.
Qualifications
- Commitment to NAMI-NYC’s mission.
- Knowledge of production fundamentals.
- Curious and problem solver team player.
- Highly organized and works collaboratively.
- Knowledge of camera equipment (SLR equipment.)
- Familiar with studio lighting equipment and audio recording equipment.
- Knowledge of Adobe Premiere.
- Sense of humor.
- A second language is a plus.
Physical Demands:
The intern must occasionally lift and/or move video equipment, such as a camera, tripods, and lights.

- $2,000 stipend upon successful completion of the internship.
