This session is for – and taught by – people who are a part of the Black community. Taught by a team of trained mentors who are living healthy and productive lives with mental illness. Participants learn the tools needed to take control of their own wellness and recovery. Our Peer-to-Peer for the Black Community centers around the unique mental health struggles that face the Black community.

This group experience provides the opportunity for mutual support and positive impact. You can experience compassion and reinforcement from people who relate to your experiences. Through your participation, you have the opportunity to help others grow. This is a confidential place to learn from shared experiences in an environment of sincere, uncritical acceptance. Recovery is a journey, and there is hope for all people living with mental illness.
