Families learn mental health warning signs, discover ways to improve wellbeing, and build open conversations about mental health.
Regular discussions about mental health in family daily lives establish ways of communicating thoughts and feelings, build connections, and promote self-reflection. These discussions pave the way for more effective responsive conversations because kids will have practice with sharing feelings and thoughts.
In this interactive workshop, families will learn mental health warning signs, discover ways to improve well-being, and build open conversations about mental health with their children and loved ones.
Ending the Silence presentations are conducted by two leaders: one shares an informative presentation, and one is a young adult who shares their mental health journey. These presentations also include time for open discussion about mental health.
This presentation is also available for middle and high school students as well as school staff. Learn more at www.naminyc.org.
