Join us for a youth mental health panel discussion on Tuesday, October 22, 6-8 PM. Since the start of the pandemic, the mental health of young people has been a global concern. With one in six children experiencing a mental health condition and suicide being the second leading cause of death, New York City is facing an unprecedented youth mental health crisis. We’ll discuss:
- Bullying and other pressures our teens face
- How to engage with our teens about how they’re feeling
- Proactive strategies to prevent and manage mental health challenges
- Community programs and resources for parents and teens
Panelists from NAMI-NYC and local mental health organizations. Featuring Senator Brad Hoylman-Sigal. This event is primarily for parents and caregivers of teens, but all are welcome. Bring your questions!
