Ziegfeld Ballroom, 141 West 54th Street, Manhattan
All proceeds support NAMI-NYC’s mental health programs for anyone who needs them.
This year’s Gala is Tuesday, October 28, 6-10 PM at the iconic Ziegfeld Ballroom at 141 W. 54th Street in midtown Manhattan. Resilience in mental health recovery is a throughline for the event. Our M.C. is sports anchor Andy Adler. We will have a fireside chat during Gala program with athletes affected by mental health challenges. Athletes face tremendous pressure while striving to achieve excellence and to win. Many times, athletes are also family members who have a loved one experiencing a mental health crisis or have tragically lost a loved one to suicide.
The event offers a cocktail hour, step & repeat photos, honoree awards & acceptance speeches, live auction, dinner, and dessert bar. This signature fundraiser keeps NAMI-NYC’s mental health programs free to anyone who needs them regardless of income, insurance, or immigration status.
Andy Adler is a bilingual news and sports personality best known as the first female lead sports anchor in a top market (New York). Andy has served as the co-host for the biggest sports franchises in the country, including the Yankees, Giants, Lakers, and Cowboy’s Pre & Post-Game Shows. Andy was also the sports and news anchor for networks including CBS, NBC, Fox, and PIX11 in New York.
Always leading with curiosity and authenticity, Andy created, produced, and hosted the Emmy-nominated and nationally syndicated show, “One On One with Andy Adler,” airing on Sunday nights. The segment garnered further popularity when Adler collaborated with ‘Sports Illustrated.’ Prior to moving back to New York, Andy was working at NBC in Los Angeles where she was the co-anchor and reporter of “Today in LA.” Andy has also made appearances on MSNBC, Fox Business News, the Yes Network and multiple morning shows. Prior to being the sports anchor for Fox in New York, Andy served as host of “American Latino TV,” a nationally syndicated, weekly magazine program, and was an intern for David Letterman.
Andy graduated with honors from Stanford University, where she served as News Director and anchor for the university’s television station. You can often see Andy combining sports with her other major passion, being an advocate for children’s rights. She is an ambassador for the Children’s Health Fund and the World of Children and is currently pursuing her master’s degree in psychology.
