My name is Katie Sweeney. I am 26 years old and grew up on Long Island, NY. After graduating from Boston College, I moved to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania where I still reside today, working at a financial firm as a credit analyst. In my free time, I enjoy playing with my niece and nephew and checking out Philly’s foodie scene. I am honored to run the NYC Marathon with Team NAMI-NYC, an organization supporting causes I am passionate about, such as spreading awareness of and providing resources to those with mental health conditions and ending the stigma around mental illness. I am excited to contribute to building a healthier world with better mental health through my fundraising and running for NAMI-NYC, as well as pledging to be #StigmaFree and reminding those who are struggling with mental illness that they are not alone.
